How long does it take to make Trovemat running?

Trovemat configuration and installation (mounting) requires about one day. In 99% cases it works out-of-the-box. However you may experience some problems launching if you have unstable internet connection or some sort of blocking firewall.

What do I need to have in order to make Trovemat running?

Prerequisites are (kinda check list):

  1. Active unlimited 4G mobile internet connection SIM card (regular size) or unmetered Ethernet/WiFi
  2. Account with balance and enabled API Key on any of supported exchanges with ability to withdraw (needed to send a user purchased crypto) and trade (needed to convert from funding source to a user purchased crypto). Note: in most cases you need to be a verified user of exchange.
  3. A place for Trovemat installation of 1sqm size, able to accommodate Trovemat's weight (85 kg at minimum) with power outlet 110V or 220V.
  4. Installed TOX client (Antox for Android, Antidote for iOS, qTox for desktop/laptop)
  5. A passion for cryptocurrencies (its a joke, you may be quite practical about it)

What are the first steps I need to make after Trovemat has been delivered to me?

Launching Trovemat is easy. We think launching it is as easy as launching some WiFi router.

Please refer to Quick Launch guide for more info.

How can I test if Trovemat works?

"Have you tried turning off and on again?"

Besides it is turned off, the screen should show you a menu of cryptocurrencies available on this Trovemat.
If you see nothing, please refer to Troubleshooting Guide.

Default state of Trovemat is (duh :) accepting money.
So first try to insert money into bill acceptor. The bill acceptor should "eat" it. Otherwise? Bad note, wrong currency. Or contact support.

Now, if your bill acceptor is "not hungry" anymore and accepted your bill, please try to buy any crypto. The trick is - inserted amount should be sufficient to pay network fee, plus your commission and exceed minimal withdrawal limit of your active exchange. You will see "Next" button if everything is OK. Otherwise, continue to insert notes until you see "Next" :)

Now that you have proved yourself a wealthy user buying enough crypto the Trovemat will ask you for your destination address. The best choice is to give Trovemat address you control, so you can send crypto back to exchange. Also you can ask Trovemat to generate address for you and send there your crypto... this option has single drawback - you need to have a wallet software for this crypto to import printed private key for that crypto... The thing is - not every cryptocurrency have its wallet publicly and easily available, so you may stuck into very entertaining crypto-quest of "Importing a private key into a wallet that doesn't exist". Many-many crypto wallet softwares have Private Key Import, but we recommend checking it first.
